Jane Little Botkin is a national award–winning author. Her numerous awards include two Western Writers of America Spur Awards, two Caroline Bancroft History Prizes,and the Barbara Sudler Award. She was a finalist in both the Women Writing the West Willa Literary Award and Sarton Book Award. 

Her books meld personal narratives of American families often with compelling stories of western women. She is a member of Women Writing the West and Western Writers of America where she currently serves as Vice-President.
